You might have just a few minutes before heading to your studio. You have much to accomplish today and you feel tired. What to do?
From the moment you get out of bed, you are making contact with numerous objects. Can you pause and observe the rhythm of your breathing before you reach for anything? The ringing alarm clock The slippers by the bed. The rush of water from the shower head. The brush you use to comb your hair. The minty savor of your toothpaste. The feeling of flossing. You go to the kitchen. You fill the tea kettle. The taste and aroma of toasted bread. The jar of jam in the refrigerator. And now you sit for breakfast.
Are you still breathing?
